Thoughtmetrics is a desktop scientific application for modelling, analysing and visualising states of human consciousness. It treats consciousness as a structured system of emotions, thoughts and baseline conditioning, expressed in a dedicated notation and analysed with equations, matrices, set theory, game theory and a large library of scientific charts. Researchers can import survey or panel data, generate participant-level equations, classify groups, and produce publication-ready figures without writing code. The software runs locally, keeps data on the user’s machine, and is designed for students, social scientists, psychologists and policy analysts who need a transparent, reproducible way to study collective and individual states of mind.

Thoughtmetrics gives lecturers and researchers a living laboratory for consciousness, affect and social-attitude studies. Numeric filters (greater than, less than, ranges) allow targeting of high- or low-scoring subgroups. Panel mode with a designated time variable supports before–after and multi-year comparisons. Equilibrium contours and stability maps offer a visual language for communicating “balance” and “tension” in public attitudes to non-specialist audiences. Because the software runs locally and documents every rule, it is suitable for capacity-building workshops and for studies that must remain reproducible and auditable.
